We’ve been back for more than 6 months now and already our time in the UK seems like a distant memory. But before we truly put it away in our treasure box full of memories, let me reminisce on some of the most memorable moments of our time in the UK.

Firsts
Meal – Pub food at the pub by Liverpool St Station
Purchase – Puffy jacket for Gabe from Asda and a 50p top from Primark in Romford
London sight we visited – Chinatown! :P
Jobs – Gabe at Field & Trek and Wens at Dorothy Perkins
Paycheck – Spent ourselves a meal at Garfunkel’s, Oxford Street
UK trip – Norwich, to spend New Year’s with Mun Wai at a quaint little cottage, eating chicken rice, drinking wine and watching Take That on TV. :)
Europe trip – Rome and Vatican City with Benny and Lareina. Viva la Gelato!
Summer BBQ – With CS & Jay Vian at our backyard with the not-so-hot disposable BBQ set
Sight of snow for Gabriel – April 2008 – freak snow day!
Sight of England’s royalty – Prince William and Prince Harry at the Bond premiere. *drool*
Brush with celebrities – Gabe saw Uma Thurman and Colin Firth at the Kill Bill premiere while I saw George Clooney and Renee Zellweger at the Leatherheads premiere.
‘Cruise’ – 34 hour ferry ride from Patras, Greece to Venice, Italy.
Hike/Camping Trip – Ambleside, Lake District
Outdoor Concert – Hard Rock Calling @ Hyde Park with Police and Eric Clapton as headliners.
Ski trip – Zurich, Switzerland with CS & Jay Vian... One word: Expensive!

Campsite – St Ives, Cornwall (5* toilet facilities man!)
British food – Fish & Chips, Cheapo Fried Chicken, Pub grub
Hiking trip - Conquering Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in UK.
Road trip - Touring the Scottish Highlands with Colin and Devon & Cornwall with Marie. Amazing places!
Tea place – Patisserie Valerie
Seaside town - Hastings
Musical – Lion King for costume/set, Les Mis & Wicked for songs, Zorro for special effects and Never Forget for laughter!
Hiking trip - Conquering Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in UK.

Best of Europe
Outdoor haven – Lake Bled, Slovenia and Tatras Mountain, Poland
Most delicious food – Italy
Most quaint town – Lubeck, Germany
Most happening at night – Madrid and Barcelona, Spain
Most amazing architecture – Barcelona, Spain
Most romantic and amazing sunsets – Santorini, Greece
Most historic – Rome, Italy & Vatican City
Hottest city – Sevilla, Spain
Cheapest city – Krakow, Poland
Most expensive country – Switzerland
Fun Amusement Centres – Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen and Skansen, Stockholm
Best desserts – Brugge and Brussels, Belgium
Most scenic city – Prague, Czech Republic
I-can’t-believe-I’m-here feeling – Paris, France
Best for shopping – Definitely Spain!

When all is said and done, it’s been such an amazing experience and probably one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I guess it’s just nice to be able to say, ‘Been there, Done That’.

We are truly blessed.
